Editorial Policy

This Editorial Policy explains how NaijaCeleb Gist produces its stories, so readers know what to expect from us.

How We Source Stories

We follow Nigeria’s entertainment industry through official announcements, verified social media accounts, reputable news outlets and public statements. Every story is written by our editors in our own words — we never copy articles from other publications — and we credit the original source in the story.

Accuracy

We check names, dates and facts against our sources before publishing. Where a claim comes from a single unverified social media report, we say so in the story. We avoid publishing unverified defamatory claims about individuals.

Corrections

Mistakes happen in a fast-moving news cycle. When we get something wrong, we correct the article and, for significant errors, note the correction in the story. Readers can request a correction via our Contact page.

Images

We use real, credited photographs and official social media embeds. We do not publish fabricated images of real people.

Opinions and Sponsored Content

News stories are reported neutrally. Any sponsored or paid content, if published, will be clearly labelled as such and kept separate from our news coverage.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are made by our editors. Advertisers — including advertising networks such as Google AdSense — do not influence what we publish.
